Casa Batlló, Barcelona, Spain. The building was built in 1877 and then remodeled by Antoni Gaudi and Josep Maria Jujol.
The architectural style of the building is called Modernisme or Art Nouveau. However, Gaudi’s style is also very recognizable. The structures in front of the windows remind bones, that blend into a general floral decoration. Big windows at the center resemble an open mouth. The roof looks like a spine of a dragon and is decorated with ceramic tiles.
Interior as well is very impressive. A huge yellow round lamp in the inside is put in the middle of the spiral, which adds up to the surreal atmosphere. The inside and outside are filled with many more creative details. Visits with an audio guide are available.
