Picturesque Ancient Dunes in Palouse Region, USA

Palouse Region, Washington, USA. A small city of the same name, inhabited by around 1000 residents, is surrounded with the vast fields of wheat and rapeseed. But do not underestimate this farmland – the place has been attracting photographers for a while now. Its hilly valleys are compared to those in Tuscany and are loved by a camera.

The landscape however is quite unusual. It led the geologists to believe that these hills were created by wind rather than rivers, and are ancient dunes.
